Yucatan their epic performance of sweeping instrumentation, soaring choirs, and breathtaking vocals, in the band’s mother tongue of Welsh, will deliver shimmering celestial sensations in bucket loads! Yucatan’s self-titled debut album, recorded in Snowdonia and mastered at Sigur Ros’ studio in Iceland, has received considerable praise from critics. The album has been described as “stunning music from a special place” by BBC Radio One's Huw Stephens. They have performed in a variety of festivals, and toured the UK to promote Enlli, their sold-out vinyl EP, released on their own label, Recordiau Coll. They have also toured in Poland and there are further plans to tour Europe to promote the new album.

The Drink

'The songs twist and turn in unexpected ways and the lyrics are fascinating and strange'- The Guaridan
'A fascinating first shot, packed with potential' - UNCUT
'Unique as it is beguilling' - The Independent On Sunday
'One of the best debuts of the year' - NME

Playing things safe has never been The Drink’s philosophy. Throughout the trio’s evolution, their gloriously off-kilter guitar pop melodies and lyrical curiosities have commanded attention - and on brand new album Capital, they’re pushing the boundaries even further, eschewing meticulous planning in favour of instinct across even more wondrously intriguing tracks. “Capital can mean a lot of things” explains Galway born singer Dearbhla Minogue. "But it always has a gravity wherever it crops up. It brings to mind subtle or intangible force.”

The band’s ‘debut’ album Company was compiled from their first three EPs, received praise across the music press and set off twelve months of touring that culminated in a BBC 6music session for Marc Riley, support slots with Toro Y Moi and invites to the Green Man and End Of The Road festivals this summer. Whilst most would put writing a follow-up on hold to fulfil their live duties, that simply wasn’t an option: “We wanted to move on fast after Company, without that momentum-sapping two-year gap between albums,” explains bassist David Stewart.

“The band has shape-shifted as a sort of evolving unit into something which is now a bit less cerebral and more instinctive. We always knew it was more than the sum of its parts from the beginning, but I don't think any of us expected to be improvising takes in the studio.” Showcasing Dearbhla’s beguiling lyrics, Capital is the sound of The Drink harnessing their groove and moving their sound to new, unexplored places.

Jez Kerr is a Manchester legend. The bassist/vocalist from A Certain Ratio who are one of the cornerstones of Manchester music. Factory records favourites who regularly supported Joy Division and were New York regulars in the early 80's. He has stepped out for a solo jaunt and the results have been outstanding. His first solo single Play Sumthing Fast was critically acclaimed by the music press and had many airings on BBC 6 Music and Radio 2. It was nominated as single of the week on The Radcliffe and Maconie show.
Jez followed this up with a solo album 'Numb Mouth Eat Waste' which received 5 star reviews in Q magazine, Mojo magazine and The Guardian Newspaper.
Live performances followed including gigs alongside The Fall, Badly Drawn Boy, Mark Stewart (The Pop Group), The Lovely Eggs and most recently supporting New Order on their latest UK tour.
Q Magazine: "Cancel your plans, don't go on your date. Just borrow, bunk and squeeze in to see this band before they go stellar"
The Guardian: "The predominant feel of Jez Kerr's music is one of off-kilter, existential panic"

Fold are a funk & hip-hop influenced experimental four-piece based in Leeds. Inspired by Public Enemy among others they explore the natural rhythms of speech by building their tracks around samples with a strong social conscience. Unlike most forms of live music that incorporate samples Fold perform everything on stage live in order to preserve a sense of natural groove, unity & spontaneity in line with their funk forebears.Fold have been receiving considerable support from BBC 6 Music featuring regularly on Gideon Coe‘s show along with plays from Huey Morgan, Don Letts and Lauren Laverne. XFM have also shown their appreciation with frequent plays from John Kennedy and the honour of both record of the week and one of the top records of 2014 bestowed by Blur’s own Dave Rowntree.Fold’s EP collaboration with acclaimed poet Mr Gee (formerly of the Russell Brand Show) earned them an Independent Music Award. They have both remixed and supported Public Service Broadcasting and were interviewed for The Guardian website having been voted to the top of The Guardian‘s Breaking Bands series.

Darkher is the alias of Singer and Spellcaster Jayn H Wissenberg (formerly with The Steals). Following her self produced Debut EP 'The Kingdom Field' released on Prophecy label - Germany, She joined forces with Guitarist Martin T Wissenberg and Drummer Shaun 'Winter' Taylor-Steels (My Dying Bride, Anathema) after an invite to play the acclaimed Roadburn Festival in 2015. The Full length Album is Scheduled for release in 2016.
"Such is their immersive nature that they don’t just already sound fully formed, but that it’s been lingering around the edges of your consciousness since time immemorial. Folk-based but unmoored enough that it taps into a continuity at once deeply nostalgic and strangely familiar, these brooding mantras hook in the early comers like sirens singing from the rocks, the eponymous frontwoman’s commanding presence part wood-nymph, part high priestess, as guitarists take bows to their instruments and unwary metalheads stare agog." - METAL HAMMER
Although all these elements made this show the spectacle I wasn’t sure I dared to expect, it is of course Jayn’s voice which made me glad I was already sat down – as I doubt with my feeble constitution I could have stood before this voice when empowered and amplified by the walls of such a spiritual space...each aching word Jayn utters into the microphone is laced with a dark magic which she has cultivated in her bones as her spirit has matured through the divining of the land she treads" 3rd Eye Magazine

Serious Sam Barrett
Sam played at the internationally renowned South by Southwest music festival in Austin Texas in 2010 and cemented an already growing American fan-base. In 2011 he began getting airplay and praise from National BBC radio and has been played on BBC radio 6 on at least 9 occasions.
His most recent release "AnyRoad" (2014) has been his most critically acclaimed to date having received rave reviews from National prime time BBC radio 6 DJs Marc Riley and Gideon Coe as well as a very favourable mention in UNCUT magazine. In addition to this, "AnyRoad" will appear in the top 20 of the annually published Piccadilly Records end of year review chart booklet. This is a great honour as the booklet has a huge influence as a taste-making document here in the UK and internationally. Picadilly records is a well respected Manchester based independent record store. Sam's releases have also been awarded "record of the week" at another prominent independent record store "Jumbo Records" based in Leeds, UK

The Bromleys are John, Jenny & James (father, daughter & son). Each gifted with a powerful voice, they sing a mixture of traditional and contemporary folk songs in three part harmony, both a capella and with instrumental accompaniment. Together, The Bromleys create a rich blend of voices that is unique to their kin. They have each performed solo and as part of a variety of bands, including Kimber's Men, A Rookery and Jump Jive & Wail and it was only ever a matter of time until they began singing together. It runs through their blood.

Regiment are a hard rock band from Halifax who have big dreams and are waiting for anything the music industry can throw at us. We are taking any chance we have at succeeding our dream

Gareth Scott: Calderdale is lucky to have some wonderful folk voices, none more so than Gareth Scott, solo performer and member of Kimbers Men. A story teller backed up with a fine voice and beautiful guitar playing. His debut album is on its way.
