Compere Howard Smith : Link
Howard Smith’s career started 20 years ago fronting thrash metal band Acid Reign which saw him head banging around the world as a fresh faced teenager.
Since then 10 years of stand up and character comedy have seen him develop his frontman skills into one of the hottest compere’s working today. His ability to work with ANY crowd in ANY room is a rare gift and his diminutive frame belies an awesome stage presence.
HEADLINER: Mark Rough
Unbelievably celebrating 14 years as a Stand up Comic. Mark Rough, the self styled Mackem Motormouth began his career, like most on the comedy club circuit playing in rooms above pubs. This is where he mastered his breakneck style. With a massive gags per minute ratio he is not one for the comedy purists but he certainlyis a crowd pleaser. Observational, modern, fresh and above all side splittingly funny, Mark has seen his act work all over the world with seasons in Dubai, Cyprus, Spain, Canary Islands and more recently Scotland where he seems to have gained a cult following.
Hailing from Sunderland but based in West Yorkshire Mark has branched out into more mainstream venues, after dinner speaking, corporate functions and small theatres, yet he has never forgotten his comedy club roots and in 2011 he made a dramatic and successful return to the comedy circuit, where he has managed to combine working between the two genres
